Has been with Sylvan since 2005. She has her Bachelor's in Secondary Education Major in English and Speech Communication from University of the Philippines, Diliman, Q.C. In addition, she has her Master's Education/Elementary Teacher Education from University of Phoenix.

Donald Gerard holds a BS in Business Administration and an MA in Holistic Health Education. Additionally, he has been certified as an NLP Coach through the NLP and Coaching Institute of California and certified as a Hypnotherapist through the Center for Hypnotherapy. He has tutored K-12 Math for years and taught Psychology, Math, and Business Communications at Western Career College in San Leandro, CA.
Has been with Sylvan since 2009. He has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology from Kenyon College and a single subject Math credential from California State University, Hayward. He has taught at Miramonte High School and Deanza High Scool.
BFA degree from California College of the Arts. Graduate certificate from Contra Costa College. MA degree and certificate from Mills college. She has worked as an Educational Specialist with all ages for 20 years.

Has been a second grade teacher for 11 years currently working at St. Catherine of Siena School in Martinez.
Pema has been with Sylvan since 2008. She has a Master's of Arts degree in Math Education from Teacher's College, Columbia University, NYC. In addition, she has a Master's of Science degree in Math from Mysore University in India. She has 8 years experience as High School Math Teacher in Tibetan Children's Village School in India.
Started at Sylvan in 2003. Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Boston University Medical School.
Specialties: Math, Biology, Chemistry, Pre-Medical and Medical subjects.
Has taught at Sylvan since 2000. He has a Bachelor's, Master's and PhD in Music. He has taught in the West Contra Costa Unified School District and at the College of Recording Arts
Tyfahra has been with Sylvan since 2007. Her education background consist of a BA in Comparative Literature and English from Oberlin College and a PhD Candidate in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley. Her educational specialities include: Reading, Composition and Academic Writing.
She has over 45 years of teaching experience, teaching 1st to 9th grade students.She has a Master's in Elementary Education and has been with Sylvan since 2009.
2010 Oakland High School Graduate. Plans to attend Pharmacy School and become a Pharmacist.
Recent gradute of Fremont Federation, College of Articture Academy. She plans to attend Diablo Valley College and transfer to UCLA and major in Nursing.
Started at Sylvan in 2006. She is a 2008 Oakland Technical High School graduate. Currently attends Laney College, intends to continue her education at UC San Diego or CSU Northridge and plans to become a child psychologist.
