www.DrRickBlog.comBook Adventure is a FREE, on-line reading motivation program that rewards students (K-8) for their reading successes. It can be a great supplement to your child’s current reading curriculum. Upon registering, students are able to choose reading material based on grade level and areas of interest. After reading, your child is able to take a quiz about the book’s content. Based on quiz scores, children win points that are redeemable for prizes.
If you are an educator and would like to implement this program within your classroom, please contact us at sylvancanton@aol.com or 734-207-8888.
Good study habits are the key to a successful school year. Set aside time each night to allow for homework/study time. Take this time to complete homework assignments as well as review material that was presented in class. Your child’s instructor at Sylvan can assist with homework questions as well as effective study techniques.
Sylvan Learning of North Canton recommends that you gently guide your child towards activities that require reading. For younger readers, encourage them to read and follow a recipe for making a cool treat, read the informational plaques at the zoo, read a brochure for an upcoming vacation destination, or read your grocery list as a shopping helper! Of course, a trip to the library is always a great way to spend an afternoon. Let your child choose their own books to borrow and then read them together!
Finish your homework faster and easier! With SylvanMathPrep.com, you’ll see short videos, corresponding to the exact pages and concepts in your textbook, that explain the math lessons you’re studying.
SylvanMathPrep.com presents math problems in a new way, shows you the work so you can see how to do it, and provides practice problems (with the answers!), so you can master the concepts in no time!
