If Eric looks familiar, it may be because you've seen him on TV or at the theater, as he has acted in several plays and performed in a number of commercials and industrial films. Eric lives in Austin, TX, having moved there in 1983 from Iowa, where he spent his childhood. He hooked up with the improv comedy troupe "ComedySportz" in 1986 and performed with and eventually managed them for 6 years. Eric signed on with Penguin Entertainment in 1997 and is not only their busiest deejay but warehouse manager as well. Eric has deejayed and/or emcee'd 500+ events in central Texas! Eric graduated from Buena Vista University in 1980 with a B.A. in Physical Education. He was a middle school coach and teacher for 14 years. In addition to his acting and deejaying endeavors, Eric is also a tour guide for Crowes Nest Farm and teaches at the south-Austin Sylvan Learning Center, where he has been since 1997. Eric loves interacting with kids and imparting knowledge to them.

Jackie received a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree in the College of Architecture in 2000 from Texas A&M University. She spent the next five years drafting construction documents for commercial and residential developments. Jackie’s passion for learning and the desire to inspire others led her to attain a Master of Education degree from Texas State University in 2006. Since then, she has taught 3rd and 4th grade for Austin ISD and worked for a year as a math textbook editor for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. She has enjoyed tutoring at Sylvan since April 2009 because it allows her to focus her teaching on an individual basis, which is impossible to maintain in ordinary classroom settings.
