Fundraising Success Story #1:
We’ve recently worked with a volleyball team that was trying to raise money to go to their National Volleyball Championships. The team was comprised of 11 middle school girls, 2 coaches, and approximately 18 parents. Each girl was given 20 Sylvan Skills Assessment coupons to sell for $25 each in the areas of Math, Reading, Writing, Study Skills, or SAT Prep (a $199 value). Sylvan provided the team with “sales kits” and certificates for distribution. We also provided successful sales tips and ideas for the team to use. The team sold a total of 50 certificates and raised $1,250 towards their goal!
Fundraising Success Story #2:
We also worked with a local PTA through our SAT Diagnostic Day. The local PTA sold 75 SAT tickets for $10 each. Sylvan administered a SAT practice test to students who had a ticket. Those students were given their scores with a complete, professional score analysis. This was beneficial to students and the PTA raised $750!
We also offer free seminar speakers on a variety of educational topics you can present at your next meeting. One example is a Math night for parents to review some common concepts their students may be studying.
