Center Instructor

As a part-time Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are:
Just Teaching! No Lesson Plans. No Preparation.

You will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a 3 student:1 teacher setting.

As a successful Upper Level Math Instructor, you will teach Sylvan Advanced Math programs, including Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, Trigonometry, and Calculus. You will also teach the Math section of our SAT Prep course.

You will supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction, reward students for completed assignments, evaluate and document student progress, and communicate student needs to the center manager. You will also inspire students by developing rapport with them and establishing a fun learning environment, maintaining a positive attitude and demonstrating enthusiasm for teaching and for Sylvan.

We require:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience with upper level math

Compensation is based upon experience.
