Allison started with Sylvan as an Instructional Assistant in 1997. After graduating college, while teaching full-time in Cincinnati, she was also a teacher for Sylvan. After teaching in the classroom for a few years, she came to work at Sylvan full-time. She has worked at the Western Hills and Tri-County locations as the Director of Education.
I am a graduate of Miami and Xavier Universities. I have taught English and History in Oak Hills and Northwest School Districts. I enjoy bike riding with my family.
I graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky in 1986 with an elementary education major for teaching students in K-8th grades and a Spanish minor. After teaching in a few different grades and schools, I decided to stay at home with my children. For the last 9 years, I have
been teaching Spanish I to classes of high school aged home-schoolers. I have been teaching at Sylvan for over a year and have enjoyed meeting and working with all of the students. I have been impressed with Sylvan's ability to pinpoint the exact skills that each student needs. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two teen-age sons. I also enjoy scrap-booking and stamping.
I graduated from Wilmington College in 2007 with a B.A in Early Childhood Education and hold a Provisional pre K -3rd grade Ohio Teaching License. I have been a substitute teacher for Princeton City Schools and Finneytown Schools District. I also work part time for Cincinnati Parks, mostly in the summer with their nature camps. As a hobby, I help coach a local running group. I have enjoyed working for Sylvan while I decide which path to take in my educational career.
I graduated from the University of Indianapolis in May of 2005 with my degree in Elementary Education, making me certified to teach grades K-6. For the 2006-2007 school year, I taught a Pre-Kindergarten class of 4 and 4 1/2 year olds. I began working for Sylvan in February of 2006 and absolutely love it here. I am currently a full-time substitute teacher for Sycamore and Lakota School Districts where I teach every subject for grades K-12. I married in May of 2008 and will be attending Miami University next year to obtain my Masters degree in Education.
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on a Master of Science degree in Reading and Literacy. I have been a substitute teacher in the Northwest Local School District. For the past year and a half, I have been a Title I tutor in the same district. I starting working at Sylvan in June of 2008 and I love it here! I enjoy watching the students gain confidence and experience that carries with them in school. I enjoy spending time with my husband, puppy, and other family members. I love reading, playing tennis, and working out.
I recently graduated from Princeton High School. I will be attending Miami University in the fall. My intended majors are either Psychology or Counseling. I have been working at Sylvan since my freshman year in high school.
