One Grade Level Progress Guarantee After 36 Hours

For the Sylvan Academic Reading and Sylvan Math Essentials programs, we guarantee that your student will improve at least one (1) full grade level equivalent based on the results of the Sylvan Skills Assessment after the first 36 hours of instruction in a single program. The measures of growth for Sylvan Academic Reading are vocabulary OR comprehension, and for Sylvan Math Essentials, computation OR concepts/application on the progress assessment. If your student does not improve at least one (1) full grade level equivalent, Sylvan will provide 12 free additional hours of instruction to your student. Because our ultimate goal is for your student to attain mastery of all the skills he/she needs, we will use these 12 hours to further reinforce his/her understanding of skills missed on the assessment. Therefore, the additional 12 hours must be used for instructional sessions only and are not subject to a refund.
