Julie Lee

Director of Education

Julie graduated in 1966 from TCU with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. After 40 years in the field of education, Julie retired from FWISD in May of 2006. She joined the Sylvan family as Director of Education in September 2007. Julie is happy to have the opportunity to work with educators and students in the Sylvan Environment.

Julie has three grown children and 2 grandsons. Julie enjoys reading, walking her dog & working out at Curves.

Melanie Waier

Assessment Administrator

Melanie joined the Weatherford Sylvan Learning Center in 2005. She attended the University of Illinois in Chicago. After moving to Weatherford, TX, she received her teaching certification and taught at Weatherford ISD for over 13 years. Melanie has taught grades K-6.

Melanie loves reading, jigsaw and crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She enjoys teaching the students who come to Sylvan.

D'Linda Tibbitts

Instructor

D’Linda joined the Sylvan family in 2004. She has a B.A. in English from SMU, graduate work at UNT and attended the University of California and the University of Hawaii. After teaching high school English for 22 years (18 at Weatherford HS) she retired in 2003. She loves reconnecting with past students when they bring their children to Sylvan.

D’Linda’s 3 children and 2 grandsons keep her busy and entertained. Sylvan provides her the opportunity to teach and keep her teaching skills honed; yet still have plenty of time to spend with family.
