EVERY STUDENT CAN MASTER MATH and SCIENCE!
Given the right Math Teacher, any student can learn how to do math. Here at Sylvan we look for the very BEST Math and Science Teachers!
We are seeking dedicated part time math teachers and instructors to give students the help they need when struggling with Pre-Algebra thru Calculus as well as Chemistry and Physics. You will be part of a team that monitors, guides and inspires each student to grasp upper level math and science concepts in order to overcome stressful situations involving math. Whether you are helping them with homework or assisting them prepare for a test, you will be making a positive difference with each student.
Specific subject areas include:
• Math (middle school through college) – Specifically Pre-algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus and SAT or ACT Test Preparation.
• Science – Physics and Chemistry
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in a field related to mathematics or sciences.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring required.
• State level teaching certification (current or expired) preferred.
• The ability to successfully pass our Mathematics Certification Exam.
• Able to work on and off site.
• The ability to connect with middle school, high school and college students is essential.
